Since my first trip to Haunt, I have been so in love with the idea of becoming a character/talent at Knott’s Scary Farm. I loved scaring and becoming something terrifying and causing such terror to individuals. I trained myself for it, about 6 years. I worked professional haunts and my own Home Haunt all those years. I even took up sliding to make sure I was 100% ready the day I finally auditioned and worked the big event. I just kept saying to my father, “I’m going to do it. I’m going to work Haunt! You’ll see!” and I did. I don’t see myself as a just seasonal Knott’s employee. I had finally made it. I was so emotional when I received my appointment card. It didn’t actually hit me I was finally there until my first night on stage, I stood in costume in my assigned spot in Terror of London. I was so terrified but knew I could do it. I’ll still be doing this for years from now. There’s so much thanks I want to give to my father, Ruben. He’s supported me all this time and I want to tell him that I love him and if it hadn’t been for his pushing and taking me that first year, I wouldn’t have wanted to do this. Love you, Dad.
